Data Governance Policy
Updated 08/18/2017
This Policy covers institutional data as a strategic asset of the bank and the appropriate governance for management and use of data that is critical to the Bank’s operations. Data governance is a control that ensures that the data entry by an operations team member or by automated processes meets precise standards, such as a business rule, a data definition and data integrity constraints. The following are the key takeaways of the changes:
- Updated to reflect requirements under final rule: Computer-Security Incident Notification Requirements for Banking Organizations and Their Bank Service Providers.
- Updated to reflect the use of cloud computing services (cloud storage) and security risk management principles from the FFIEC Interagency Guidance.
