Partial Exemption HMDA Data Collection Worksheet

Updated 10/30/2018

This worksheet can be used to document data points that must be collected for transactions that qualify for the partial exemption. A bank must have originated fewer than 500 closed-end mortgage loans in each of the two preceding calendar years for its closed-end mortgage transactions to qualify for the partial exemption. Likewise, a bank must have originated fewer than 500 open-end lines of credit in each of the two preceding calendar years for its open-end lines of credit transactions to qualify for the partial exemption. Updated format. Now it includes instructions to enter “exempt” or the code for exempt in the exempt data fields.
