Flood insurance and the distinct regulatory requirements can present questions and challenges in a seemingly straight forward transaction, whether in the commercial or residential context. This primer will discuss the basics of flood, which may be a useful guide for those new to banking as well as those with experience, for any transaction with flood considerations. We will discuss the flood requirements along with the more recent updates. Areas we will cover include: scope; determining minimum flood requirements; notice requirements; NFIP maximums by property type; evidence of insurance; contents coverage; condominium coverage; record keeping and penalties for flood violations; detached structure exemption; escrow notice requirements and exceptions; force placement timing and required notices. The accompanying manual should prove to be a simple reference point for all, offering quick citations on flood-related questions.

People Who Should Attend:

Compliance Officers and other relevant compliance team members, mortgage lending officers and staff, mortgage operations, and internal audit.

The webinar will start at 12:30 PM Pacific / 1:30 PM Mountain / 2:30 PM Central / 3:30 PM Eastern.
