This B2B webinar will review Section 8 of the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act. We will discuss kickbacks, fee splitting, and “things of value.” We will navigate through various examples of RESPA Section 8 issues and the ambiguity within the regulation. Lastly, we will look at mitigating factors and evaluating risk associated with RESPA Section 8.
