Effective Date: Real Estate Appraisals Final Rule
The provisions for the evaluation requirement for transactions exempted by the rural residential appraisal exemption and for the appraisal review will be effective on January 1, 2020. The delayed effective date will provide regulated institutions adequate time to implement procedures for obtaining an evaluation for certain residential transactions secured by property in a rural area that are exempt from the appraisal requirements and for subjecting appraisals for federally related transactions to appropriate review for compliance with USPAP.
