Comment Period: Request for Comment on Model Changes for the Board’s 2027 Supervisory Stress Test

AGENCY:

Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System.

ACTION:

Notice, request for comment.

SUMMARY:

This notice will likely not have an impact on member banks due to the reporting requirements apply primarily to the largest banking organizations with $100 billion or more in consolidated assets. However, the proposal is noteworthy because it reflects the Federal Reserve’s ongoing efforts to increase transparency in stress test model development, enhance risk sensitivity, and improve data collection related to mortgage servicing rights, commercial real estate, corporate lending, collateral, guarantees, and internal risk ratings. The proposed changes are intended to strengthen the accuracy of supervisory stress testing.

DATES:

Comments must be received on or before December 1, 2026.
